“Do you take dental insurance?”

We are glad you asked that question. We hear it frequently. The short answer is yes, but let us explain the longer, more complete answer. Dr. Burden has not signed a contract with any insurance company. This allows him more freedom to directly address your dental questions and needs. He is not tied to the rules of the insurance company that could interfere with your choices of treatment. We actually work with any and all insurance companies and we will submit all of the paperwork for you. Please note that your specific Insurance policy will dictate the additional amount you are responsible for.

So you see, we do not directly take insurance but we do help you get whatever benefit you are entitled to from the plan that your employer has purchased for your company. That is important to remember. Your plan has been selected by your employer from the many dental plans that are available. If you have questions or concerns about your plan, bring them up to your benefits department.

What about a pre-estimate? Some, not all, insurance companies will provide an estimate of the benefit before work is done. Again we can do the paperwork for you to receive this information. Some companies even require this before some types of procedures can be started. We have many years of experience dealing with the insurance companies, so we can help make sense of your policy.

So even though we don’t take insurance, we deal with it every day. We have many patients with dental insurance who have been with us for years. Please don’t let this keep you from considering us for your dental care. We would be happy to have you join our practice.
